Chris Ewin

Dr. Chris Ewin practices family medicine at 121MD in Fort Worth, a direct primary care practice he founded in 2003.

Ewin was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, where summers spent in his father's surgical office first drew him toward medicine. He earned both his bachelor's and medical degrees from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, then completed a pediatric internship there at Charity Hospital. Before finishing his training, he served as a District Medical Officer for the Jamaican Ministry of Health in Montego Bay, where he also supervised Tulane medical students. He later completed a second internship and a family medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

After ten years in private practice, Ewin became an early adopter of direct primary care, opening 121MD to build the kind of medicine he'd wanted to practice all along.
