Dr. Johnson is a board-certified family physician at Access Family Medicine in Lincoln, holding dual accreditation from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine.
Born in Omaha and raised mostly in Pennsylvania, Johnson returned to Nebraska for a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Master of Science in exercise science at the University of Nebraska. A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center followed, along with residency training through Michigan State University in Traverse City, Michigan. In 2014, Johnson was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Over sixteen years in practice, Johnson has taken on a number of leadership roles, including chief resident, quality medical director, practice medical director, and physician champion for the Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
