Adam Barragan, DO

Dr. Adam Barragan is a family medicine physician at Align Direct Primary Care in Lakewood Ranch. He completed his residency at Manatee Memorial Hospital, training alongside some of the area's top specialists and learning firsthand which ones he would trust with his own family's care. He earned his osteopathic medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech, where he trained in osteopathic manipulation, a technique he now uses daily and has found effective for both acute and chronic pain, offered separately from DPC membership.

Originally from Maryland, he first came to the area as a young athlete training at IMG Academy and Athletic Edge Sports, and his family has deep local roots through relatives who performed with the Ringling Circus and the Circus Arts Conservatory in Sarasota. His care for patients extends past the exam room, from planning healthy meals with them to hosting workouts at local parks. These days he calls Lakewood Ranch home, sharing it with his wife Jess, children Charlie and Hayes, and dog Oshie.
