Stefan Harmeling, MD

Dr. Stefan Carl Harmeling is an Independent Family Physician. His personal philosophy: 'Imagine the world not as it is but as it should be and work each day to bring about that change.' His experience and professional skills allow him to care for a large variety of both acute and chronic medical issues, preventative health care services, and end-of-life care.

Dr. Harmeling earned his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, attended medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, and completed his internship and residency at White Memorial Medical Center (East) in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Harmeling's professional experience includes family medicine practice at Venice Family Clinic (2002-2005) and Bay Clinic/Pahoa (2005-2006), hospitalist work at Team Health/Hilo Medical Center (2006-2012), and leadership roles as CEO of Aloha Nui Family Practice (2007-2019). He has served in medical missions in Haiti (1997) and East Africa/Kenya (2001), and currently serves as CEO and Independent Family Physician at Aloha Nui DPC (2019-present).
