Lauren McMullen, MSN, APRN, NP-C

Lauren McMullen is a board certified primary care nurse practitioner at Amalura Health in Dover, with more than a decade of experience across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. Before becoming a nurse practitioner she worked as a registered nurse, first in primary care in Waltham and later in mental health and addiction care in Boston, where she discovered how much she valued connecting with patients and building real relationships with them.

Non-judgment, collaboration, empathy, humor, and compassion guide how she practices today, and she takes pride in the relationships she has built with her patients over the years. After many years in corporate medicine, she grew frustrated watching the focus shift toward numbers and statistics at the expense of the patient experience, and she saw firsthand how little support providers were given as burnout took hold.

She loves to travel, tends to a small jungle of houseplants at home, and makes time for friends and family whenever she can.
