Elizabeth Sorensen, MD

Elizabeth Sorensen is a family medicine physician at Arbor Family Medicine in Austin. She has wanted to be a doctor since she was four years old, and she grew up in the Houston suburbs before studying biochemistry at Rice University.

She graduated cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta in 2003, then completed her family medicine residency at MAHEC in Asheville, North Carolina, with additional training in sports medicine. What drew her to family medicine was the chance to build real relationships with patients, treat a wide variety of people, and make a lasting difference in their health over time.

After five years in private practice in Asheville, she made the move to Austin. She shares her life with a wonderful husband, two curious boys, and two mischievous dogs, and she spends her free time on yoga, cooking, and running.
