Louise Butler, DO

I was born and raised in Southern California, just outside of San Diego. At the ripe age of 20, I left home for an adventure in the wilds of Maine. There, I finished College and Medical School.

In July of 1994, I moved to Lancaster and started my Family Practice residency. Five months later I met the love of my life, and we were married 18 months later.

After my residency, we spent 4 years in North Carolina, and almost 4 years in Western Maryland, before my husband and I finally got homesick, and moved back to Lancaster. I have now been practicing in the Lancaster area since 2001.

I have always believed that if you spend the time and really listen to a patient, that person will tell you what the diagnosis is, and the best way to treat it. Unfortunately, this type of medicine is not really what insurance companies and hospital systems like to see. When I learned about Direct Primary Care, I knew that I could finally practice medicine the way I had always imagined.

My patients are not 'numbers' or 'insurances' -- They are people.
