Punya Raman, MD

Dr. Punya Raman is a board-certified family doctor and bariatric physician at AVISTAmed in Gilbert, Arizona, with more than 30 years of clinical experience.

Born and trained in general surgery in India, she moved to the United States in 2000 and shifted her focus to family medicine, building a practice and a family in the years that followed. She has served as AVISTA's medical director since 2011, and her commitment to ongoing education keeps her current on the latest developments in patient care. Her patients know her for the compassion she brings to every visit and her drive to provide the best care possible.

She lives in Gilbert with her husband Chad and their dog Steve. Hiking, running, cooking, and overlanding fill her free time, and hiking Mount Everest and traveling the world top her bucket list.
