Jairo Puente, MD

Jairo Puente is a board certified family medicine physician at Azumaya Health in Pensacola. He has practiced for more than 30 years, working as a hospitalist, in the emergency room, in primary care, and in hospice care.

He grew up in Hollywood, Florida, and has made Pensacola home since 2011. After earning his medical degree at La Universidad Metropolitana in Barranquilla, Colombia, he completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in McAllen, Texas, where he served as chief resident. He was later commissioned as a medical officer in the United States Air Force Reserves.

Outside the clinic he has five kids to keep him busy, along with a love of the outdoors and time spent on two wheels.
