Mark Barreto, MD

Dr. Mark Barreto is a board certified family medicine physician and the founder of Barreto Family Medicine in Otego, New York. He has been practicing since 2005 and built the practice around a direct primary care micro-practice model. He keeps his patient panel small so he can give people the kind of personalized, long-term care he associates with an old-fashioned country doctor.

Becoming a small-town doctor was something he wanted since he was twelve years old, and Barreto Family Medicine grew out of that goal. He stays deeply involved in the Otego area outside his own practice. He serves as Medical Director of Otego EMS and of Delaware County Corrections, acts as a health advisor to the Village of Otego, and belongs to the Unadilla/Otego Rotary Club, where he has also served as president.
