I grew up in a small town just like Milton. My goal when I went into nursing was to serve as a healthcare provider in a small community. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) with a BSN in 2009 and completed my MSN from USM in 2011. I have been certified by the AANP since 2012. I have been a practicing Nurse Practitioner for over 13 years. In that time I have worked in rural clinics, emergency rooms, house calls, retail health and correctional medicine. What I found is that conventional plans leave patients and providers unhappy due to the focus on numbers. And worse, the current setting often leads to poor outcomes. My hope is that I can bring my experience home now and try to make healthcare more patient focused again. I live in Milton with my wife Brandy. We have 1 son, 1 daughter and 3 dogs who all love spending time on the water.
