About Lauren Hughes
Dr. Lauren Hughes is a board-certified pediatrician and the founder of Bloom Pediatrics and Lactation in Kansas City. She earned her MD from the University of Kansas Medical School in 2017, finishing her degree while 36 weeks pregnant with her oldest child, then completed her pediatric residency at the University of Kansas Health System, using that same time to earn her IBCLC.
She opened Bloom Pediatrics the day after residency ended in 2020, arriving with four month old twins, a brand new three year old, and a pandemic just getting underway.
Today Dr. Hughes is married, raising three children, and shares her home with a rescue dog.
