Andrew Pope, MD

Dr. Andrew Pope is a board-certified family physician at Blue Fire Med in Manhattan. He earned dual undergraduate degrees with honors at the University of Kansas before completing his medical degree at the KU School of Medicine.

His training continued at the Via Christi Family Medicine residency, where he gained broad experience in outpatient and inpatient care, ob/gyn, and procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs. When he finished residency in 2012, he and his family settled in Manhattan, where he has practiced ever since. He is certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and has served as president of the Riley County Medical Society.

In 2017, Dr. Pope opened his own Direct Primary Care practice, a longtime goal of his. He describes the work as a chance to bring modern, evidence-based medicine to patients in an old-fashioned, personal way.
