Mary Rutherford, MD, MPH

Dr. Molly Rutherford leads Bluegrass Family Wellness in Crestwood, where she is board certified in Addiction Medicine and practices family medicine as well. She grew up in Virginia and earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2003, after an earlier stretch at the National Institutes of Health as a biologist and policy analyst and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins.

She and her husband moved to Kentucky in 2006, and she spent several years as an employed physician before earning her addiction medicine certification in 2012. In 2015 she opened her own practice, where her approach centers on holistic, individualized care aimed at preventing illness rather than just treating it.

She sees patients of every age at Bluegrass Family Wellness, from children to seniors, and has built her practice around getting to know each one over time.
