Dr. Byron Jasper leads Byja Clinic, a direct primary care practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he serves as founder and CEO.

He's outspoken about direct primary care as a more accessible way to get medical attention, pointing to the model's promise of unlimited access to care during business hours, after hours, and on weekends. His patient panel spans a wide range, from toddlers as young as two or three to patients in their eighties.

In April 2022, Dr. Jasper stepped into the role of keynote speaker at Dillard University's White Coat Ceremony, addressing undergraduates just starting out on the path toward careers in medicine.
