After several years practicing in the current complex landscape of healthcare, Dr. Cardona realized her core values of empathy, respect, safety, trust, and equity were not aligned with the healthcare status quo. She found it difficult to sustain a professional relationship with a system that was profit and metrics driven, that valued quantity over quality, and was impersonal, inaccessible and deliberately complex.
Dr. Cardona found a different and better way. Healthcare should be accessible, affordable, and patient-centered.
