Jing-Jing Cardona, MD

Dr. Jing-Jing Cardona is a family medicine physician and founder of Cardona Direct Primary Care in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a degree in biology from Emory University before attending medical school at the University of Miami, then completed her family medicine internship and residency at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. She went on to serve in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy from 2002 to 2012.

After several years practicing within the conventional healthcare system, Dr. Cardona found it increasingly hard to reconcile her values of empathy, respect, safety, trust, and equity with a model driven by profit and metrics. She saw a system that rewarded quantity over quality and left patients navigating something impersonal, hard to access, and needlessly complicated.

That experience led her to direct primary care, built instead on the belief that healthcare should be accessible, affordable, and centered on the patient.
