About Catalina Triana

After 25 years in family medicine, I made a deliberate choice: to practice medicine the way I've always believed it should be practiced. Unhurried. Relationship-centered. Rooted in the conviction that the most powerful thing a physician can offer is not a prescription — it's genuine presence, over time, with someone who truly knows you. I organize my approach to wellbeing around five dimensions that shape how we feel and function: How you eat How you rest How you move How you love How you think Not a checklist — more like a compass. Some areas will feel strong, while others may signal that something needs attention. That's where the conversation starts. What affects your health is rarely just physical. Stress, major life transitions, grief, and anxiety. These show up in the body and deserve to be treated there, too. My advanced training in behavioral medicine means I don't separate mind from body or hand you off when things get complex. The patient who comes in for insomnia may be carrying grief that's never been named. The one with chronic headaches may be living with anxiety that's never been treated. I'm trained to see and treat the whole story right here, as your primary care physician — not by referring you out, but in the same room, in the same conversation. I believe the doctor-patient relationship is one of the most powerful forces in medicine, not because of what I know, but because of what becomes possible when someone truly knows you. My goal is to be a steady presence through every season of your life: the diagnoses, the transitions, and the questions you've never quite known how to ask. Healthcare should empower you, not just treat you. I grow with my patients over time. That continuity — that accumulated trust — is what makes the difference between managing a condition and actually changing its course. I provide care in both English and Spanish. I am also knowledgeable and experienced in caring for LGBTQ+ patients, including transgender and gender-expansive individuals. Not as a specialty, but as a natural part of my practice. Everyone who walks through my door deserves care that sees them fully.
