Dr. Keta Selaru is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Clarii Health Direct Primary Care in Columbia. Trained in Romania on a full scholarship, she later moved to the United States and spent three years in diabetes and nutritional research at the University of Maryland, work that deepened her belief in the value of prevention. She completed her internal medicine residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore in 2007.
Selaru builds her practice around careful, up-to-date screening, reasoning that catching a problem early, such as a precursor to colon cancer, can make all the difference. Each patient gets an individualized plan that starts with listening, and her recommendations often combine traditional medicine with guidance on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Born and raised in Romania, she brings that broader perspective to the way she practices medicine today.
