Kissi Blackwell, MD

Dr. Kissi Blackwell is a board-certified family medicine physician and the founder of Clarity Direct Care in Wichita Falls, Texas. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2006 and completed her family medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in 2009.

Nearly twenty years of practicing in both hospital and outpatient settings showed her how much traditional healthcare gets in the way of the relationship between doctor and patient. She returned to her hometown of Wichita Falls in 2014 and spent years working in a conventional setting, watching insurance interference, rushed visits, and red tape chip away at the care she wanted to give.

That frustration is what led her to start Clarity Direct Care, a practice built to break free of insurance-based medicine and put the doctor-patient relationship back where it belongs.
