Maurene Hart, DO

Coastal Community Direct Primary Care in Corpus Christi, Texas is led by Dr. Maurene Hart, a board certified family medicine physician. A Corpus Christi native who grew up in Houston, she earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. She then earned a Master's in Medical Sciences and her medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, both at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She completed her family medicine residency at Stony Brook Southampton in New York before returning to what she calls the sparkling city by the sea.

Family medicine is Dr. Hart's main passion. She often notes it's the only field where a physician can care for a patient from infancy through adulthood, and she built Coastal Community DPC around that idea, forming deep relationships with patients over time. Direct Primary Care lets her spend real time with people. Visits are unhurried and follow-up is easy to reach.

She has a special interest in women's health, believing women and mothers face wellness challenges too often overlooked in the broader healthcare system.
