Dr. Meghan Galer is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and the founder of ColGACare. She earned her MD in 2011 from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed her Residency in Emergency Medicine in 2014 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Prior to medical school, she volunteered for ten+ years as a paramedic with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad. While stationed at Fort Benning, she started the world's first "Heat Center" for the study and prevention of exertional heat illness, and fell in love with Columbus, GA. She is completely fed up with corporate medicine and is passionate about restoring the doctor-patient relationship, so she went "rogue," joined the Direct Primary Care (DPC) revolution, and opened ColGACare in 2021.
