Christina Highley, MD

Dr. Christina Highley is a board-certified family medicine physician at Community Primary Care in Norman, Oklahoma. An Oklahoma native, she earned her medical degree at OU Health Sciences Center, completed her family medicine residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Louisiana, and became board certified in 2017.

For nearly eight years she worked as a family medicine physician and Medical Director at a local hospital outpatient clinic, overseeing three nurse practitioners and treating patients of every age. Along the way, she became active in groups like the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Oklahoma State Medical Association, and was recognized for her compassionate care through the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

What finally pushed her toward Direct Primary Care was watching paperwork and rushed visits crowd out time with patients, so she opened Community Primary Care to practice medicine on her own terms, with room to listen and be thorough. At home, she and her husband are raising two sons.
