Vanessa Urbina, MD

Dr. Vanessa Urbina is a family medicine doctor and the founder of Comprehensive Health pLLC in Mount Dora.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she came to the United States at twelve in search of a better future. Vanessa earned her bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University and her medical degree from the University of Miami, then spent four years training in general surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. She later moved toward general practice, gaining experience in weight loss, urgent care, occupational health, rehabilitation medicine, hospice and pediatrics, and now brings more than fifteen years in medicine to the compassionate, personal care she offers patients at Comprehensive Health.

The mother of an eleven-year-old daughter, she's also an animal lover who has rescued several pets, including a chicken, and volunteered with Pets by Judy. In her free time she tutors, helps care for the homeless in Miami, and dances flamenco at Flamenco del Sol.
