Wendy Barrett, DO

Wendy Barrett, D.O. is a Colorado native who earned her Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Colorado Boulder. After spending a decade in Corporate America, she felt a deeper calling, to care for people on a fundamental level. Motivated by that purpose, she pursued a career in medicine to make a lasting difference in people's lives rather than their bottom line. Dr. Barrett earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University and completed her Internal Medicine residency through Sky Ridge Medical Center/HCA. Following residency, she began her career as a hospitalist before transitioning to primary care, giving her a unique perspective and experience across multiple levels of patient care. Describing herself as a "lifestyle doctor," Dr. Barrett takes pride in building strong relationships with her patients and creating personalized health plans tailored to individual goals and risk factors. She values the concierge medicine model as it gives her time to know and care for her patients as individuals. She is board certified through the American College of Osteopathic Internists and serves as an attending physician for the Sky Ridge/HCA residency program. Outside of the office, Dr. Barrett enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, cooking, baking, and exploring new restaurants.
