Dr. Gazda was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He attended Northwestern University for undergraduate education where he earned a BA in neuropsychology. After college, he performed research in sleep and circadian rhythms at Rush University.After deciding to pursue clinical medicine as a career, he attended Loyola University Chicago where he earned a MA in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Illinois for medical school where he earned pre-clinical honors in Medical Cell and Tissue biology, Immunology/Microbiology and Molecular Medicine/Genetics.Dr. Gazda made the permanent move to sunny Arizona in 2010 and completed his residency at HonorHealth (Formerly Scottsdale Healthcare). He was named Outstanding Second Year Resident and completed faculty development training. He was additionally awarded the STFM Resident Teacher Award in 2013. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and was previously in practice at HonorHealth McKellips (formerly HonorHealth Mesa) from 2013-2017 and Desert Ridge Family Physicians from 2017-2020.Dr. Gazda is passionate about preventive care for families and believes the best care is shared decision making for practical, affordable solutions. He loves educating patients and teaches the next generation of medical students. Outside of practicing medicine, Dr Gazda enjoys time with family and friends, kickboxing, running and golf. He is re-populating Arizona's wild golf ball population one dozen balls at a time.
