Mikel Hofmann, MD

Dr. Mikel Hofmann is a board-certified family physician and the founder of CuraCapitol in Washington. Originally from Albany, Georgia, she has cared for patients in the D.C. metro area since 2009. She earned her B.S. and M.D. from Florida State University and completed her family medicine residency through the Georgetown University and Providence Hospital program in 2012.

Her clinical interests include adult and pediatric care, women's health, and long-term continuity of care. Before starting CuraCapitol, she was Medical Director of a local clinic serving underserved communities, and she still teaches as a Family Medicine preceptor for Georgetown University School of Medicine. Washingtonian Magazine named her a Top Doctor in both 2024 and 2025.

An avid runner, she also makes time for family, volunteering, and advocacy work.
