Dr. Elaine Colby is not only a dedicated and compassionate family physician, she is passionate about reforming the quality and delivery of health care.After seven years of caring for her patients at a local medical group in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Colby is thrilled to have opened her own practice - Dalton Health Direct Primary Care.After graduating from medical school, Dr. Colby completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Hawaii.Dr. Colby then worked in the Department of Family Medicine at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas from 2011 to 2015 where she received the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service in 2015.Upon returning to Birmingham, she worked at the Birmingham VA Medical Center until joining Southview Medical Group in 2016.She values the relationships she has built with her patients during her years at Southview Medical Group and remains a trusted resource in their healthcare journey.Dr. Colby's enduring commitment to her patients exemplifies her compassionate and patient-centered approach to medicine.
