Wendy Molaska, MD

Hi, I'm Dr. Wendy Molaska, MD, FAAFP and I am a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, I completed my residency through the University of Minnesota at North Memorial Hospital and Broadway Clinic. I then served with the National Health Service Corps providing full spectrum family medicine in rural Colorado before returning to Wisconsin. I have over 20 years experience providing "womb to tomb" family medicine in both urban and rural settings, as well as completing medical missions in multiple countries around the world. Outside of practicing medicine I have served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Medical Society and am a Past President. I am also co-chair for the Advisory Council for Reach Out and Read Wisconsin, which is an early pediatric literacy program based in primary care clinics. I also serve on the Advisory Council for the Wisconsin Council on Immunization Practices through the Department of Health Services. Over the past several years I have become disillusioned with our current health care system. Because of increasing administrative and insurance burdens I feel there have been barriers placed between myself, my patients, and the care they deserve. I am so looking forward to practicing direct primary care where I don't have to worry about insurance or administrators. Instead I can focus solely on my patients and their needs, thereby providing a higher level of personalized care. I look forward to meeting you and caring for you and your family. As a wife and a mother I also believe in community outreach. I have enjoyed working with Fitchburg Family Pharmacy COVID-19 vaccine clinics for various community outreach organizations including Verona Area School District, Rebalanced Life Wellness, and The Literacy Network. I have a strong passion for social justice and hope to use my DPC practice to better address inequalities in healthcare. I serve on the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce with the WI Medical Society and believe that racism is a public health crisis.
