James Pinckney

Dr. James Pinckney is a board-certified family physician and founder of Diamond Physicians in Dallas, Texas.

He opened the practice in 2012 around a membership medicine model built on a direct relationship between patient and physician, cutting out the middlemen that typically stand between the two. That idea grew into four companies, including Diamond Health, which he incorporated in 2018 to carry the same vision further into healthcare delivery.

Pinckney graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and trained in general surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles before switching to family medicine to pursue his interest in a free market primary care system. He finished that training at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas and is licensed in both Texas and California. His care leans holistic, folding nutrition and fitness into patients' treatment.
