Mittal Patel, MD

Dr. Mittal Patel is a board-certified family physician at Direct Health Primary Care in Augusta. She earned her medical degree in India and completed her family medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where she first fell in love with the specialty and put down roots in the Augusta community.

She has practiced medicine since 2010, working across different settings before deciding something was missing from the way modern healthcare gets delivered. What she found is that good care depends on time, the kind that lets a doctor really listen. She moved into direct primary care in 2022 and opened Direct Health Primary Care to give patients more personalized attention, with particular focus on women's health, wellness and weight management.

A home cook and avid reader, she also likes to hike and travels with her husband, also a physician, and their two children, exploring new places and cultures together as a family.
