Robb Hicks, MD

Dr. Robb Hicks practices at Direct Patient Care St Louis in St Peters. His path toward medicine started early, growing up in a household where his father worked as a doctor and his mother served as a school nurse.

Every summer, his parents packed up the family for missions trips to small hospitals in rural Mexico and on Indian reservations in southwestern New Mexico. Tagging along on those trips as a boy, he watched his parents use their skills to meet real needs, and it left a lasting impression on him. He came away understanding that medical training was worth something only when it was put to use helping people who needed it, even if that meant sacrifice.

That lesson from childhood, learned at his parents' side long before he ever saw a patient of his own, still shapes how he approaches the work today.
