McKenna Freed, NP (DNP)

McKenna Freed is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Direct Primary Care Clinic Spokane in Spokane, Washington. A Spokane native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and spent six years as a registered nurse on the cardiac transplant unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She then returned to WSU for her Doctor of Nursing Practice, with a focus on family medicine.

Her training included clinical rotations in family medicine, endocrinology, and nephrology. Her interests now center on cardiac health, diabetes management, internal medicine, and preventive care. It was during those rotations that she first encountered the Direct Primary Care model, and its emphasis on transparency, accessibility, and relationship-based care stuck with her. She is also WA Telemedicine Trained, offering patients another way to connect with her.
