Eric Stanek

Dr. Eric Stanek is a board-certified family medicine physician at DoctorsNow in West Des Moines. He is a first-generation physician whose education and training closely mirror that of his brother, Dr. David Stanek, and he completed his residency at the University of Chicago after medical school at Des Moines University and college at Creighton University.

Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Dr. Eric is glad to be back in his home state. His interests span family medicine, exercise physiology, sleep hygiene, mental health, and metabolic health and wellness, and he likes meeting patients wherever they are in their health journey.

He trains in mixed martial arts and is a certified boxing instructor. In his free time he travels with friends and family and keeps up with Creighton men's basketball.
