Nauka Desai, MD

Dr. Nauka Desai practices direct primary care at Dr Nauka Desai in Irvington. After years working at a clinic in the Bronx, he grew frustrated with long waits, impersonal visits, and insurance companies dictating patient care, and came to believe that a direct doctor-patient relationship serves both sides better.

He earned his medical degree in 1994 from the University of Melbourne in Australia, then completed his residency at Kingston Medical Center in upstate New York, with elective training at Yale School of Occupational Health. He has also pursued specialized coursework in obesity, weight management, and veteran's health.

Dr. Desai's aim is straightforward. He wants patients to receive compassionate, excellent care in a setting where they feel comfortable and free of worry.
