Dr. Sara Whatley is a family medicine physician. Dr. Whatley's mission is to provide exceptional primary medical care to her patients and community, that is accessible, affordable, and personalized, from newborns to grandparents and everything in between.
Her main focus is preventive care with an emphasis on helping her patients create a lifestyle that promotes health and wellness. She also works with patients with chronic diseases to manage medications, treatments and improve quality of life.
Dr. Whatley is a D.O., doctor of osteopathic medicine. Osteopaths have a patient-centered approach to medicine with focus on the tenants of mind, body and spirit. Emphasizing a whole-person approach to treatment and care, DOs are trained to listen and partner with their patients to help them get healthy and stay well.
Being a DO and having a patient-focused approach to medicine, created a natural transition to a direct primary care (DPC) model for her patients versus the traditional insurance and disease-centered approach to medical care.
Sara Whatley-Dustin, D.O. has been practicing medicine in Camarillo, CA since 2012. She has always had a passion for helping others. From a young age she understood that one's health directly effects quality of life. It has been her life's mission to help those in need by choosing the path of medicine.
For 10 years she worked within the corporate medicine model. Recognizing early on that there is a broken healthcare system, she still contributed all of her efforts to providing the best care to her patients. She was limited and her goals were not being achieved.
Through a DPC (direct primary care) model, she will be able to deliver more exceptional care to more patients, contribute to her community, and provide accessible and affordable medical alternatives.
