Dr. Owens has over 15 years of experience in Family Medicine. He graduated from Albany Medical College in 2011 and completed his residency in family medicine at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, CO in 2014.Since then, he has been practicing in Durango, providing high-quality adult internal medicine, pediatrics and women's health.He also has special interest in acute/urgent care and sports medicine.Prior to founding Durango Primary Care, he served as the team primary doctor for Fort Lewis College athletics.Dr. Owens is a volunteer clinical professor of family medicine with the University of Colorado. He spends one day a week seeing patients along a medical student.He is excited to work in a direct primary care setting where he can provide high-quality and personalized care for his patients without the distractions and rushed visits of a traditional primary care practice.He lives in Durango with his wife and three boys. He volunteers coaching youth lacrosse and in his spare time enjoys biking, skiing, and fly fishing.
