Richard Martinez, MD

Dr. Richard Martinez is a board-certified family physician at Elevated Health in Huntington Beach. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Notre Dame, where he also ran track and cross-country, then went on to medical school at UC Irvine and a family medicine residency at UC San Francisco in Salinas, California.

He spent ten years practicing in Santa Maria before returning to Redding, where he ran a solo private practice for twelve years and later served as Medical Director for Shasta Regional Medical Group. Along the way he took on leadership roles including Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine, and he has enjoyed helping train physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and internal medicine residents.

Dr. Martinez has built his career around giving patients thorough, attentive care, and he brings that same commitment to Elevated Health.
