Chelsea Burgin, MD

Chelsea Burgin is a board-certified family physician and the founder of Embrace Health in Landrum. She built the practice around listening closely to patients and weighing the pros and cons together. Each decision is worked through as a partner rather than a director.

Before starting Embrace, she worked in urgent care and emergency departments across North and South Carolina, an experience that left her wary of one-size-fits-all medicine. Education has stayed central to her career too. She has taught community talks, children's clubs and schools, and interest groups at libraries and wellness centers, and she has sat for local news interviews. She was also part of the founding faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, where she helped train new physicians to communicate with compassion.

Dr. Burgin still lights up talking patients through the details of acute and chronic conditions, treating each visit as a chance to dig deeper and find the right plan together.
