Dr. Frank Aliganga is a board-certified physician and the founder of Empowered Health Direct Primary Care in Philadelphia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Northeastern University, then his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. He trained in Family Medicine and completed a Community Medicine Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente of Southern California.
Before opening his own practice, he worked as a Family Medicine Physician at Asian Pacific Health Care Venture. He also taught as an Assistant Clinical Professor at CDU/UCLA and a Clinical Instructor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and served as Chief School Physician for Camden City School District. His practice centers on whole-person care, with particular attention to obesity management, mental health, and preventive medicine.
Aliganga started Empowered Health after growing frustrated with a system built around rushed visits and insurance battles. He wanted more time to actually listen to what patients are going through.
