Dr. Frank Aliganga founded Empowered Health Direct Primary Care in West Deptford to put the doctor-patient relationship back at the center of healthcare.

That mission grew out of years across free clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers serving diverse communities, and tertiary care centers treating some of the most complex cases. Along the way, Aliganga kept running into the same pattern. Patients felt lost in a maze of specialists, referrals, and insurance bureaucracy, and appointments were too rushed to get past the surface of a real concern. Colleagues spent more time on paperwork than on patients, while healthcare executives profited as both doctors and patients suffered.

Watching talented colleagues burn out, and patients avoid care they needed simply because the system was too hard to navigate, convinced Aliganga that even the best treatments mean little without access to basic primary care from a physician people actually trust. Empowered Health Direct Primary Care was built around that conviction.
