Alex Vilaythong, DO

Dr. Alex Vilaythong is a board certified family physician at Enlightened Health Direct in Arlington. A graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his internship and family medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.

For more than ten years before founding Enlightened Health Direct, he worked as a family physician and medical director at a Baylor Scott & White clinic in Fort Worth. He continues to teach as an assistant professor of medicine at UT Southwestern, and his research has appeared in more than a dozen published articles.

He is married with three kids and two dogs. Alongside his practice, he serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America and stays active in his church in Arlington, and he sits on the advisory committee of a Washington DC nonprofit after nine years on its board of directors.
