William Crouch, MD

Dr. William Crouch is a board-certified family medicine physician at Epiphany Health in North Port. Originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky, he studied biology at Vanderbilt University before doing research at the Stout Neuroscience Laboratory in Memphis. He went on to medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he won the NIH Medical Student Research Fellowship Award for his work on Type 2 diabetes, and finished his family medicine residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

Before Florida, he practiced at Pennyrile Family Physicians in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, chairing the Department of Family Medicine at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and sitting on the board of the Western KY Health Care System PPO. There, he also helped set up Jennie Stuart's first after-hours urgent care clinic.

He joined the North Port practice in 2007 and helped build Epiphany Health's direct primary care model into one that has drawn national attention, and now serves as Medical Director for New College of Florida while precepting students in Yale's Physician Assistant program.
