Stacie Vilendrer, MD

Dr. Stacie Vilendrer is the owner and Medical Director of Eventide Health in Friday Harbor. She trained in family medicine, a choice that gave her the flexibility to practice anywhere she chose.

That flexibility led her to the San Juans. She first visited Friday Harbor in 2019 on a sailing trip with her husband, Nick, and found herself drawn to the community right away. The family relocated to the island in 2020, and she has since come to know the place both as a physician and as a mother.

What strikes her most is how genuinely people here look out for one another, whether through community events, local food and arts, or the small businesses that hold the island together. That spirit is part of what drew her to lead Eventide Health, and she is committed to carrying forward its focus on connection and care. She is also a strong advocate for Direct Primary Care, seeing it as a model that removes the insurance middleman and restores a more personal, transparent relationship between doctor and patient.
