Amber Posey

Dr. Amber Posey is a primary care physician at Family Direct Care in Palm City, Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience at the University of Virginia, which is where her interest in health and wellness first took hold. From there she moved to New York City for medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, then completed her family medicine residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey.

Originally from Virginia, Posey has settled into life in Florida with her husband and daughters, and she says the warm climate and community suit her well. Reading, making art, and trying out new recipes round out her time away from patients.

What drew her to direct primary care is the chance to build real relationships with the people she treats. Without the constraints of the traditional insurance model, she can focus on prevention and wellness and give each patient care that actually fits their life, while encouraging them to take an active role in their own health.
