Minu Sharma, MD

Dr. Minu Sharma is a board certified family physician at Family Doctor Direct in San Diego, California. She brings twenty five years of clinical experience from some of the busiest hospitals, many with active research programs, and she has taken part in numerous medical studies along the way.

Her background includes work with the WHO sponsored pulse polio campaign and a smoking cessation program, along with research alongside well known physicians at UCSD. She went on to complete a Family and Geriatric Medicine residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, continuing her smoking cessation work there in a way the community valued. After establishing her own private practice, she partnered with social service agencies to help identify and track epidemics.

Dr. Sharma treats every patient like family, and she believes good healthcare depends on a real partnership between physician, patient, and community. Patients often describe her as experienced yet down to earth, someone who listens as much as she treats.
