Growing up in the Worcester area, I was always interested in science. I also loved helping people. Becoming a doctor felt like the perfect way to do both.
After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross, I attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA.
As a double board-certified osteopathic physician trained in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, I went on to spend a decade caring for patients in the Worcester area. In that time, I treated hundreds of people and honed my skills as a practitioner.
However, I became more and more frustrated with how the healthcare system let patients and doctors down. My patient load grew, visit times shrank, and I felt constant pressure to sacrifice time with my patients to keep up with the requirements of the fee-for-service system.
I decided I needed to leave medicine entirely or find a better way. Then, I discovered direct primary care and realized this innovative healthcare model would enable me to focus on what's most important: you.
Faucher Direct Care was created to make the primary care experience simpler and more accessible.
