Benjamin Fischer

Dr. Benjamin Fischer is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Fischer Clinic in Raleigh, North Carolina. He earned his M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, then served in the Navy, completing his residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth before serving with the Navy Medical Corps on Whidbey Island.

After the Navy he worked as a hospitalist at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C., before settling in Raleigh in 2007. He became a partner at Raleigh Medical Group, where he started the Raleigh Wellness Project with patients, the YMCA and WakeMed physicians, and he has worked as a hospitalist at Rex Hospital since 2008. He also serves as a team doctor for NC State athletics.

He opened Fischer Clinic in 2016 to build more direct relationships with his patients, and in 2015 was a finalist for NC Doctor of the Year, a program sponsored by the North Carolina Medical Society.
