Shane Patterson, MD

Dr. Shane Patterson practices primary care at Gold Country Direct Primary Care in San Andreas. He has cared for patients throughout the Foothills of Amador and Calaveras counties since 2007, working in both private practice and hospital-based clinics for Mark Twain Medical Center and Sutter Amador Hospital.

He and his wife Heather have built their life in nearby Sutter Creek, where they're raising three daughters. The two of them practice very different kinds of medicine, his patients walk in on two legs while hers come on four, and that shared sense of purpose runs through how they show up for their small town.

When he's not seeing patients, Patterson is often out in a duck blind or casting a line on his days off. Soccer, tennis and basketball fill the rest of the calendar, with both parents coaching their daughters' teams throughout the year.
