Mariann Zaki, DO

Having grown up in the Coptic Orthodox Christian community in Egypt, Dr. Zaki developed a passion for Emergency Medicine and dedicated several years to it in her home country. However, in 2010, she moved to New York, where she met her wonderful husband, Dr. Fady Zaki, and eventually relocated to the United States.

Dr. Zaki fully embraces the concept that the body possesses an innate ability to heal itself. She adopted the renowned osteopathic principle, and after graduating from Nova Southeastern University with the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), she underwent three years of intensive medical training at Manatee Memorial Hospital.

There, she gained valuable experience under the guidance of esteemed local specialists that transformed her career trajectory. Thanks to her exceptional dedication and skills, Dr. Zaki received the titles of "Intern of the Year" in 2021 and "Mentor of the Year" in 2022 at Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Today, she is a board-certified physician by the American Academy of Family Physicians and a proud member of Direct Primary Care Alliance.

Dr. Zaki firmly believes that every patient deserves a fierce advocate who transcends the conventional boundaries of healthcare. Her unwavering commitment to patient advocacy forms the foundation of her approach to medicine.

Her goal is to keep patients healthy and away from emergency rooms and unnecessary hospitalizations. She is passionate about lifestyle medicine and mental health.

Outside of medicine, she loves spending time with her daughter Ellie, her Labrador Lexi, and her husband. She also enjoys board games with her family, reading, Theology, mission trips, weightlifting, and spending time on the beaches.
