Gabriela Walsman, MD

Dr. Gabriela Walsman is a bilingual family medicine physician with Grateful MD Direct Primary Care in West Jordan, Utah. Walsman earned a doctorate from the Central University of Ecuador, then migrated to the United States and trained in family medicine at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.

Along the way, in Washington DC, Texas, and now Utah, Walsman has worked closely with the Latino community, first as a medical assistant, then a medical interpreter, and eventually as a physician. Nine years in urgent care and outpatient settings shaped a practice built on problem solving, with experience diagnosing conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, depression, anxiety, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, hepatitis C, and contraceptive needs.

Culturally sensitive, patient-centered care is the throughline. Walsman works to help patients find affordable options and navigate the Utah health system, treating each relationship as a partnership toward better health.
